Nursing Information Session

Thank you for your interest in the Paradise Valley Community College Nursing Program. You are about to embark on an exciting educational journey that will prepare you to become a caring, competent Registered Nurse.

Nursing information sessions will be held every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5pm-6pm, and every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 12pm-1pm in Computer Commons Room E-154

At the information session, you will receive details about the pre-requisites, application process, waiting list, costs, and Concurrent Enrollment Program. You will also meet your nursing advising team that will be assigned to you. Attending the session is mandatory to be able to meet one-on-one with a designated nursing advisor at a later date. 

This information session is only for Maricopa Nursing. If you are interested in Advanced placement, CNA or the Paramedic to RN Bridge program, please contact Program Coordinator Carol Frazier in the nursing department, carol.frazier@paradisevalley.edu for more information. If you are interested in the LPN program, we recommend speaking with Gateway Community College who holds a stand-alone LPN program please open the following link https://www.gatewaycc.edu/practical-nursing

Courses can be taken at Paradise Valley to obtain an LPN certificate but the following must be completed before students can petition to take the LPN NCLEX with the Arizona State Board of Nursing:

  1. nursing prerequisites
  2. apply and be accepted into the program
  3. pass blocks 1 & 2
  4. take and successfully complete NUR191
