Do I need to submit a high school transcript to apply for admission?

No, high school transcripts are not required for admission because PVCC has an open admission policy.  A Final high school transcript will be required though if you are applying for Financial Aid or Honors.

Can I take college classes before I finish high school?

Admission to the college shall be granted to any student who is under age 18 and who completes course prerequisites and completes a college placement test designed by the community college district that indicates the student is at the appropriate college level for the course.

To register in classes, students under age 18 who have not graduated from high school and do not have a GED must complete the special admission process. Parent signature is required on the Special Registration Form and placement tests may be required. Academic departments may have additional requirements.

What do I do if I have been classified as out-of-state for tuition purposes?

Arizona state law requires a student document proof of lawful presence in the United States to be considered for in-state tuition. Until you submit a Declaration of Citizenship or Status Form and document lawful presence to the college, we are required to charge out-of-state tuition prices. Acceptable documents include a birth certificate, an Arizona driver license or ID card issued after 1996, and official immigration papers. Upon receipt of your documents, your residency status will be reviewed. Students must meet all residency requirements to qualify for in-state tuition.
