Dr. Sean Petty

Dr. Sean Petty - Interim Dean, Career & Technical Education

Dr. Sean Petty,  has been with Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) since 2012, and has held several leadership positions in support of PVCC with a deep commitment to advancing the field of business and information technology education. His hands-on approach in teaching courses in information technology, networking, and cybersecurity leveraged his extensive knowledge and industry experience, making him influential in his students' educational experience. Dr. Petty values teamwork and shared governance to solve complex problems as they arise.

Dr. Petty holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, with a specialization in Higher Learning Administration, a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity from Capella University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. Before embarking on his career in academia, Dr. Petty served in the United States Air Force, where he developed a strong foundation in leadership and technical knowledge.
