Dr. Jen Miller is committed to public higher education and values opportunities to collaborate and innovate to enhance co-curricular learning environments.
Dr. Miller currently serves as the Dean of Student Affairs at Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC). In this role she partners with campus colleagues to enhance student retention, engagement, wellness, and guided pathways efforts. She currently oversees advising, career services, CARE/student conduct, student life, veterans services, tutoring, disability and testing services.
In her previous roles, she has promoted innovation, student development, healthy learning environments, active collaborations, and robust co-curricular engagement opportunities. Prior to her tenure at PVCC, she served as the inaugural AVP/Dean of Students at Cal State LA, Director of Student Affairs Assessment, Research, and Staff Development at CSU Channel Islands, Director of the WELL (Wellbeing, Empowerment, Life, Learning) Office at UC Riverside and oversaw residential education programs and initiatives at the University of Michigan. Dr. Miller holds a Ph.D. in education from Claremont Graduate University, an MA from the University of Michigan, and a BA from Oberlin College.
