ePortfolio Competition for Students

Celebrating the creative work and intellectual growth of PVCC students. Empowering them to tell the story of their unique educational journeys through an electronic portfolio.

All students currently enrolled in at least one PVCC class may apply. The top ePortfolio selected for each category will receive $100 & be featured in the College’s Fall Learning to Assess Newsletter. All submissions receive a Certificate of Recognition. The submission deadline is May 1, 2024 at 9:00pm.

Category #1 (Program Emphasis)
Puma Program Prowess

Description: Submissions in this category should showcase and demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained over time in multiple courses and/or in learning experiences out of class that lead to the completion of a specific degree, certificate, pathway, FOI, or transfer plan. Students should reflect on experiences and include artifacts that may be from any of the following: related coursework, assignments, self-assessments, activities, club involvement, leadership, service, internships, or any other relevant academic endeavors. Students can read more about what students are expected to learn in each of their respective programs on the college’s Degrees & Certificates by Name website. Click on a specific degree and then look for the section titled “What You'll Learn…This pathway map will help you gain the expertise needed to”…(followed by a list of outcomes)

Category #2 (Skill Emphasis)
Puma TRACKS True Reflections and
Assessments of Core Knowledge and Skills

Description: Submissions in this category should showcase and demonstrate the development of highly valuable skills and dispositions achieved over time in classes and/or in learning experiences related to PVCC General Education areas including: Civic Engagement, Critical Reading, Diversity & Global Awareness, Information Literacy, Oral Communication, Personal Wellness & Development, Problem Solving, Technology, and Written Communication. More detailed descriptions of these types of skills can be found in the GEA Rubric Packet and GEA Skills Inventory. Students do NOT need to address all of the GEA areas, only those which are most relevant to their experience. In the ePortfolio, students should reflect on experiences and include artifacts that may be from any of the following: related coursework, assignments, self-assessments, activities, club involvement, leadership, service, work-based-experiences, or any other relevant academic endeavors.
