Maricopa Nursing Student

PVCC’s Nursing Program

PVCC’s Nursing Program offers the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing as well the Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) with several university partners. Completion of the nursing curriculum and general education degree requirements prepares students to take the national licensure exam (NCLEX) and apply for licensure as registered nurses. Licensing requirements are the exclusive responsibility of the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

PVCC’s Nurse Assistant Program 

PVCC also offers a Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Nurse Assisting that is approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing (AZBN). Upon satisfactory completion of this program, the student is eligible to take the AZBN certifying exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Upon successfully passing the exam, the individual will be a CNA and may choose to go directly to work or continue to pursue education opportunities in other healthcare careers.
