Welcome to the Paradise Valley Community College Emergency Medical Technology & Fire Science program website. Please feel free to learn more about our programs by browsing through our pages.

Led by EMT Program Director Dan Donahue (Captain/Paramedic with the Phoenix Fire Department), Fire Science Program Director David Sanchez (Captain/Paramedic with the Phoenix Fire Department), Paramedic Education Program Director Kevin Taussig, Fire Ops Academy Director/Resident Faculty Paul Sunder (retired Captain from the Phoenix Fire Department), and Paramedic Education Program Resident Faculty Robert Dotterer (retired Firefighter/Paramedic from the Phoenix Fire Department), our nationally accredited programs provide a high-level of education and training in the areas of emergency medical services and fire science. With well over 130 years of combined firefighting and emergency medical service experience, our program directors and resident faculty, as well as our numerous experienced adjunct faculty, bring a wealth of knowledge to our programs and are a great asset to students pursuing Fire Science, EMT, and Paramedic Education degrees and professional certifications.

Fall 2020 Firefighter Operations Academy (Fire I & II Academy)
We are currently accepting academy interest forms for the Fall 2020 semester FSC102: Firefighter Operations Academy, scheduled to begin in August 2020.  The deadline to submit an academy interest form is Friday, May 29, 2020.  Interviews are anticipated to be in mid-June, but are still TBD.

Summer 2020 EMT104 Class Information
Prospective students who plan to take EMT104 during the Summer 2020 semester need to click the following link to download the new EMT104 student packet for the summer classes and follow the instructions listed: Summer EMT104 Student Packet
Do not use a prior version that was labeled the EMT104 Student Checklist, as that is now outdated.  If you have any questions on which packet to use for enrolling in the Summer 2020 EMT 104 classes, please call the EMT/FSC Office.

Fall 2020 EMT104 Class Information
Prospective students who plan to take EMT104 beginning this Fall 2020 semester, please proceed to the EMT page and download the new EMT104 Student Packet in the upper right hand corner of the page under “Downloads”. 
Do not use the above Summer version or a prior version that was labeled the EMT104 Student Checklist , as that is now outdated. If you have any questions on which packet to use for enrolling in the Fall 2020 EMT 104 classes, please call the EMT/FSC Office.

Students cannot enroll for these courses online! Enrollment must be via phone registration or in person at the Welcome Center in the KSC Building on campus.
