ASL Interpreting & CART Services Guidelines

ASL Interpreting & CART Services Guidelines:

  • Please inform the DRS office at least 48 hours in advance if you will be absent from a class.
  • If you notify DRS between 48 hours and 1 hour before the class, it will be considered a late notice.
  • Missing a class without notifying the DRS office is considered a no show.
  • Three (3) late notices will be counted as one no show.
  • After three (3) no shows, your services may be suspended. An automatic warning email will be sent, and you will need to schedule an appointment with the DRS Manager. Interpreting services will resume upon providing a valid explanation during the appointment.
  • The DRS Manager has the right to suspend or cancel services in the absence of communication.

In order to provide appropriate services for the first day of class, interpreting/CART requests require at least two (2) weeks' notice in advance of the first day of class. Last-minute requests may not guarantee services.
