Art exhibits

The Center for the Performing Arts Gallery hosts several exhibits annually including shows by local artists, faculty, and students. All students enjoy the opportunity to exhibit in the Annual Juried Student Exhibition held at the end of the Spring semester. Artwork created in or beyond the classroom during the academic year is eligible. At present, the campus art gallery in the Center for Performing Arts cannot support digital or film/video artwork, but it can display framed 2-dimensional work (including printed digital artwork) and 3-dimensional work. Typically, students can enter up to three works for consideration by jurors. Interested students are advised to consult their teachers for more info.

Students wishing to participate in the Maricopa Community College District art competition, Artists of Promise may submit recent artwork free of charge for consideration. Submissions are accepted via an online portal and the entry deadline is typically in February. The exhibit features artwork from all 10 campuses. A juror selects the artwork to be included in the exhibition and designates a handful of League of Innovation cash prizes.
