Things Every Puma Should Know

Welcome back Pumas! As you prepare to start the spring semester at Paradise Valley Community College, here are some things you should know.

  1. Do I still need to wear a mask on campus?
    Yes, unfortunately due to the new surge in cases, masks are still required indoors on campus for both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. Please continue to practice social distancing at all times. For more information on Covid-19, click here.
  2. When does Spring enrollment end?
    Spring session starts January 15 with classes beginning January 18. You can continue to register for classes through the start date so long as the classes are not full. PVCC offers three registration options for current and new students. Click here to find out more.
  3. How often should I meet with my advisor?
    Your relationship with your advisor begins with your Puma Power Up session. From there, you can meet with Advising as often as you like by scheduling an appointment either in-person or conveniently chat online.
  4. When is the next Club Rush?
    Club Rush runs 10 a.m to 5 p.m., January 24 through January 27 on PVCC’s Union Hills campus, KSC Student Union. Students can also tune in virtually. Contact Student Life & Leadership for more information.
  5. Are there any jobs on campus students can apply for?
    PVCC is committed to supporting our students in school and beyond, including assisting them with finding jobs and internships. Career Services offers a variety of avenues for employment opportunities including webinars, access to alumni, work study programs, and our newly implemented job shadowing program.
  6. How can I get more involved on campus?
    Paradise Valley Community College is a bustling campus with outlets for every type of student. Depending on your interests, students can engage in the clubs, leadership programs, mentorship and ambassadors programs, service and volunteer opportunities, the arts, politics, and more.
