PVCC Student Receives Prestigious Governor’s Art Award

Congratulations to Alexis Fritz, a PVCC fine arts student whose oil painting, Agave Bloom, was selected as the cover artwork for the 39th Annual Governor’s Arts Awards program book and invitation. As a native Phoenician, Alexis said the desert landscape influences a lot of her work. Her painting was selected from submissions all over the state.

The Governor’s Arts Awards have recognized hundreds of distinguished Arizona artists, arts organizations, businesses, educators and individuals since beginning in 2001. The award celebrates their passion, creativity and devotion to Arizona’s arts and cultural communities
