Healthy Cooking Workshop Teaches How to Cook Delicious Meals on a Budget

The continued goal of PVCC’s Integrated Health Science Center (IHSC) is to improve the health and well-being of the communities in and around PVCC. The IHSC is focusing on those who are often low income, underinsured or uninsured, by working in collaboration with private and public health partners throughout the community to provide wellness events, create access to healthcare and education, and to empower individuals to live their healthiest and fullest life.
“We feel so fortunate to have partnered with Palomino Promise Neighborhood/Mentor Kids USA to work together to impact the lives of families in our community to help close the health equity gap” said Tatum Voeller, M.S., IHSC Coordinator. “We couldn't have had our ‘Healthy Cooking on a Budget’ workshop without our additional partnership with Michele Redmond, Chef/Dietitian, who works with people to connect health to the pleasure of eating.”

PVCC’s intention is to provide meaningful health services, screens, and/or education to our surrounding community in need. The goal is not only to provide these meaningful services but to connect our community members with resources in the valley to assist them on their journey to wellness
