Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) will open its doors to musicians, educators, and community members next week for a three-day public sale featuring pianos, digital pianos and string instruments from some of the world’s most recognized makers, all while helping support music education programs.
On June 25, 26, and 27, PVCC – in collaboration with the Rockley Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing music education programs – will host a public piano and string instrument sale. The sale will mainly be by appointment as it will give priority access to the selection and pricing, and will feature a wide range of instruments, including grand pianos, baby grands, digital pianos, violins, violas and cellos from world-renowned makers such as Steinway & Sons, Yamaha and C. Bechstein. Most instruments available are less than a year old and include service contracts, tuning, and delivery options, along with special financing opportunities.
A final public sale will be held Saturday, June 27, from 2–5 p.m., with no appointment required.
“This partnership creates a meaningful opportunity for our community to access exceptional instruments while also helping support music education,” explained Dr. Chris Scinto, PVCC’s music director.
“The Rockley Family Foundation is donating $10,000 to PVCC’s Music Program fund which will continue to strengthen arts education and expand opportunities for our students,” added Mario Marquez, PVCC’s senior development officer.
The event will be hosted at PVCC’s Welcome Center building on the Union Hills Campus, located at 18401 N. 32nd Street in Phoenix. Virtual appointments via Zoom are also available. Community members interested in attending can schedule an appointment by calling or texting 480-463-8965 or by visiting Rockley Family Foundation.
