With only three performances remaining, Paradise Valley Community College’s production of The Clockmaker’s Daughter has been wowing audiences and earning media attention. This breathtaking original musical faerytale by Michael Webborn and Daniel Finn is making its Arizona debut, and it is only the third time the show has been performed in the United States.

Most recently, the show made the news on Fox 10 Phoenix, highlighting talent, heart, and the hard work of PVCC’s student performers and creative ensemble. You can catch the Fox 10 segment here

Join us for the final performances this weekend, June 27, 28, and 29, at the Center for the Performing Arts. Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and a matinee on Sunday at 2 p.m.

What makes this production even more remarkable is the diverse and talented ensemble, which includes PVCC theatre students, high school students, and even two young performers—ages 10 and 8—bringing a wide range of experience and energy to the stage. One of the lead roles is performed by a 17-year-old actor.

“I am incredibly proud of everyone involved in this production,” said Andrea Robertson, PVCC’s Theatre Director. “They really put their all into this show. It is a wonderful blend representing our community at large.”

The story follows Abraham Reed, a grieving father who builds a lifelike clockwork girl in the image of his lost daughter. But when he winds her up, he discovers he’s created something far beyond a machine—a story unfolds that is rich with love, loss, and hope, carried by hauntingly beautiful music.
