Be a Student’s Hero: Donate Today!

Mark your calendars! Paradise Valley Community College’s 4th annual Be a Student’s Hero Week of Giving is fast approaching. Save the date and share your pride.

The PVCC community at large in conjunction with the Maricopa County Community College District is urging everyone to contribute during the week of April 29 through May 3. Donations to PVCC go directly to our Student Success Scholarship, providing remarkable opportunities to increase and award student scholarships to those who need it the most.

“Each donation made to PVCC scholarships and programs is a direct investment in the growth and prosperity of our community. By empowering our students today, we shape a brighter tomorrow for all,” said Mario Marquez, Senior Development Officer, PVCC, adding that PVCC Physics Professor, Dr. Casey Durandet, has generously offered to, again, match up to $5,000 in donations to this year’s drive.

"Not having any kind of job security made me really worried about how my kids were going to grow up. I realized that I needed to do something. If I didn't have a scholarship, I would not be able to go to school," said Christine Collado-Frost, a Dr. Casey Durandet-Dr. Millard A. Lee Excellence in STEM scholarship recipient.

Your support matters! Share your pride with #IAmAHero and donate online, helping MCCCD achieve its $205,000 goal. PVCC’s campus goal is to reach $15,000. For more information, contact PVCC’s Office of Strategic Partnerships at 602-787-6695 or development@paradisevalley.edu or give to PVCC any day of the year.
