PVCC Announces New Amazon Web Services Program Beginning This Spring

Paradise Valley Community College is excited to announce the addition of our Amazon Web Services Cloud Foundations course, available this spring. Forbes Magazine has ranked AWS Certification as one of the top 15 most valuable IT certifications entering the industry. PVCC’s eight-week course provides a detailed overview of cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support.

Dr. Sean Petty, PVCC Computer Information Systems faculty and Business/IT division chair said, “We are very excited to have the opportunity to offer this program to our students. We have worked closely with Amazon to deliver a top-grade curriculum that prepares students for the Amazon Web Services Practitioner certification. Students who complete this course are also awarded a certificate of completion from the college. As more businesses move their IT platforms to a cloud based environment, it is important that our future students and business leaders have a firm understanding of this technology.”

Students with experience in database, Linux, information security, networking, programming, and DevOps who are interested in expanding their knowledge in the area of cloud computing to enhance their employment opportunities, this course is for you to help you prepare for the AWS Certificate Cloud Practitioner exam.
