The PVCC Student Nurses Association (SNA) has partnered with Arizona Helping Hands for several years. Arizona Helping Hands supports foster families and provides services to children in the foster care system. Under the guidance of Nursing Professor Tina Barney, PVCC nursing students collected supplies to donate over 30 “Birthday Dream” kits to Arizona Helping Hands. These "Birthday Dream" kits are filled with decorations, a cake mix, frosting and a pan in a gift bag and provide the opportunity to celebrate children and this very important day in the life of a child.
The SNA has also partnered with Arizona Helping Hands in support of their toy drive, diaper drive and school supplies drive. The commitment of our faculty and students to support each other and those within our community is a testament to their value in serving others.
