PVCC Fitness Center is Back!

The Fitness Center at Paradise Valley Community College is reopening its doors! Starting Saturday, May 22, students, employees, and community members can come in both for credit and non-credit classes. We have implemented strong safety measures to ensure everyone stays healthy.

“Through the pandemic, we have realized just how important it is to protect our health,” said Tatum Voeller, Fitness Center Director. “For all of us, young and old, exercise remains an important way to promote and preserve our health, improve our immune function, and enhance our mental wellness.”

Since being forced to close our doors over a year ago, the faculty and staff at PVCC’s Fitness Center have gone to great lengths preparing to safely open again, following strict guidelines and State mandates. A risk management plan was developed for all of Maricopa County Community colleges, which includes face coverings, social distancing, and a reservation system to ensure limited capacity. In addition, we are implementing a touchless check-in using your student ID card or Silver Sneaker ID card.

Our Physical Education (PED) for-credit courses will be limited to 12 students. Most classes meet twice a week. For those students not comfortable attending in person, there will be an online option to livestream the class. The Summer 2021 schedule includes yoga, Pilates, dance, and martial arts, and can be found here:
