Voters will have the chance to weigh in whether through the legislature or on the ballot.

Come hear from experts on both sides of the issue to ensure that you are informed and can inform others!

  • When: January 30th , 12pm-1:15pm
  • Where: Paradise Valley Community College Center, Performing Arts Auditorium

According to ProCon.org, public support for legalizing marijuana has increased from 12% in 1969 to 66% today. Proponents say legalizing marijuana will add millions in tax dollars to the state’s economy that could benefit tourism, banking, food, real estate, construction, and transportation, while also making marijuana use safer. Opponents argue though that legalization will incent teens more, whose brains are not fully developed, and overall, be harmful to society increasing emergency room visits, medical care, addiction treatment, driving accidents and crime.

All of this will be discussed by our panelists – Jeff Taylor and Mason Cave.  Andrea Kadar will serve as moderator. The event is free to the public and will include a chance for attendees to ask questions of our panelists. It will be a wonderful event that will allow you to become knowledgeable on an important issue facing our community.
