From Oracle Bone pictographs to contemporary Chinese calligraphy, this presentation showcases the evolution of Chinese calligraphy, enriched by student-created computer animations. It will explore the historical development of key characters, highlighting their transformations across different styles and the cultural and linguistic meanings embedded within them. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on calligraphy practice using traditional materials and enjoy visuals, animations, and video clips, which offer an immersive and dynamic learning experience.
