Data Governance

Does Firefly use your data to train it's large language model?

Training Data:

  • Adobe Firefly's initial models were trained on a dataset of licensed content, primarily Adobe Stock, and public domain content where copyright has expired. This is a key point in Adobe's effort to ensure responsible AI development.
  • Adobe emphasizes that they do not train Firefly on Creative Cloud subscribers' personal content.

User Input and Data Handling:

  • When users interact with Firefly, their prompts and certain settings are stored. This data can be used for things like providing user history, and for feedback to improve the firefly service.
  • Adobe does gather data related to user prompts and configurations, as well as reference images that are uploaded.
  • Adobe does provide ways for users to create custom models, where the user can train the model on their own data. In that case, that users data is used for that specific users model.

Data Security and Personal Identifiable Information:
Do not share valuable intellectual property, whether yours, MCCCD’s, or someone else’s. The intellectual property owner is entitled to control who can copy or use that intellectual property.
