Summer Theatre Intensive

Enjoy classes in the morning and rehearsal in the afternoon. Rotating topics may include: character development, improvisation, play-writing, prop making, stage combat, and many others. The rehearsal process will include: auditioning, blocking, learning lines, creating characters, and working/running the entire show. Each student is guaranteed a role in the production. Camp is open to students entering 6th through 9th grade in the Fall of 2016. The Studio Theatre is located in Building M-East.

The Theatre Program at PVCC is designed to provide training for students who wish to pursue a degree, further their skills, or find their passion in the Theatre and Film business. Within the core requirements for the degree, students will take courses in Acting, Technical Theatre, and Theatre production with electives offered in many areas such as Stage Combat, Directing, and Theatre for Youth. PVCC is dedicated to providing hands-on experiences for its students and during a typical school year students work in all areas from Acting, Directing, Designing, Stage managing, Building, and crew work on the five plus Theatre shows produced in the two theatres on campus.
