What is my Student Center?

Your access to the Maricopa Community Colleges begins with creating your Maricopa Enterprise ID (MEID).  Your MEID is your username and you have create your own password to access your student center at www.maricopa.edu/students At your student center you can: register for classes, view your class schedule, pay tuition and fees, obtain your final grades, and conduct other student business. College communication will also come to your Student Center

How do I apply for admission to PVCC as a new student? 

You can Apply online at https://www.maricopa.edu/students using your MEID and password.  Here are the 4 steps to the enrollment process to include admissions.

Do I need to submit a high school transcript to apply for admission?

No, high school transcripts are not required for admission because PVCC has an open admission policy.  A Final high school transcript will be required though if you are applying for Financial Aid or Honors.

Can I take college classes before I finish high school?

Admission to the college shall be granted to any student who is under age 18 and who completes course prerequisites and completes a college placement test designed by the community college district that indicates the student is at the appropriate college level for the course.

To register in classes, students under age 18 who have not graduated from high school and do not have a GED must complete the special admission process. Parent signature is required on the Special Registration Form and placement tests may be required. Academic departments may have additional requirements.

Students under age 16 should contact the Admissions office to schedule an appointment, Call 602-787-7070.

PVCC also offers several early college opportunities for high schools students.  Check out the Early College Programs website for such programs and requirements.

How much does it cost? 
It costs $85/credit hour for in-state students.  For a full time load (12 credits) tuition is $1032/semester (includes $15 registration fee). Your other additional cost will be your books and they will average 350+ depending on the whether you buy them new or used, you buy them or rent them etc.  Check with the bookstore for prices.  All other student services like parking, tutoring, computer use etc. are FREE.

What do I do if I have been classified as out-of-state for tuition purposes?

Arizona state law requires a student document proof of lawful presence in the United States to be considered for in-state tuition. Until you submit a Declaration of Citizenship or Status Form and document lawful presence to the college, we are required to charge out-of-state tuition prices. Acceptable documents include a birth certificate, an Arizona driver license or ID card issued after 1996, and official immigration papers. Upon receipt of your documents, your residency status will be reviewed. Students must meet all residency requirements to qualify for in-state tuition. Students may be required to submit additional documents.
