The Paradise Valley Community College Theatre Company started the year off with a bang, debuting its student-driven production of Strange Relations to sold out shows last month. Strange Relations is a collection of three one act plays each directed, designed, stage managed, acted, and crewed by PVCC students.
“I’m extremely proud of my students, all of whom went above and beyond to make this production a huge success,” said Andrea Robertson, Theatre director. “The students learned a lot in this practical application of all they learn in the classroom, building their confidence and learning to work together in a strong ensemble to create a successful production.”
Additionally, the solid production garnered many of the students nominations from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival next spring 2024, including accolades for acting, stage management, design, playwriting, fight choreography, sound design, and directing.
