Paradise Valley Community College has always prided itself on being more than just an educational hub for our students, with magnificent performances at our Center for Performing Arts, locals using the state-of-the-art fitness center, as well as energetic fans filling our sporting events. Yet, it’s the local community markets that have taken up residency on PVCC’s Union Hills campus that is garnering new buzz and shining a fresh light on our Puma home.
- St. Mary’s Food Bank
One of our longest running community events, PVCC Student Leadership and Life department partners with St. Mary’s Food Bank to deliver fresh, free food to those who need it most. Once a month, volunteers pass out goods in Cordova Plaza from 10 am - 12:30 pm, February 2nd, March 2nd, April 6th, May 4th.
- 32nd Street Market
The farmer’s market is held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month (December through April), where patrons can select fresh local produce, farm eggs, organic juices, food vendors, one-of-a-kind items, and more.
Thieves Market is a monthly outdoor, old-school flea market, hosting various vendors selling antiques, vintage, and hand-made items, and exotic imports plus food trucks! Look for them the first Saturday of each month October through April, 8am to 2pm, in Parking Lot C. Questions? Contact info@thievesmarketvintageflea.com
The literacy event is a staple here at PVCC, shedding light on reading and bringing books to life through the art of storytelling. The two-day event features cultural activities for children including arts and crafts, games, face painting, live music, food trucks, and free books to children.
