
Viviana (Vivi) Jaques serves as an Administrative Specialist for the Dean of Student Affairs. Viviana started working at PVCC in January 2019. She is one of the many Foster Advocates at PVCC. She has assisted Student Life, Career Services, Testing Services and Recruitment on numerous events and projects. She was also assigned to help coordinate with the Disability Resource and Service Department for 10 months while we DRS had an interim and then assisted the new Director in DRS. As of August 2020, she has been assigned to assist Admissions and Records.
Viviana received her Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Arizona State University in 2009. She previously worked for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office traveling the state and giving presentations on Consumer Scams, Identity Theft, Bullying, Cyberbullying, Sexting, Cyberpredators, Life Care Planning, as well as Guiding Good Choices. These presentations were provided to kids ranging from age 5 to adults in their 90’s.
Viviana has also worked for 2 different nonprofits. The first one focused on helping students who came from a broken environment to receive funds and motivate them to apply for college and apprenticeships for APS, SRP and Palo Verde Nuclear Power Center. The second one she served as a case manager at a refugee shelter. She helped the refugees connect safely with their sponsors.
With the changes in time Viviana also found a way to supplement her income by becoming a Bilingual Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. www.marykay.com/vjacques1 She enjoys being part of Mary Kay because of the professional and personal development that the company provides but also because the founder Mary Kay Ash is a “Great American Entrepreneur” and she is part of a Series at the Smithsonian Institute.
