Adriana Jaramillo Velasques is the youngest of six siblings and immigrated to the US from Colombia in 2012. The following year, she met and married her Venezuelan husband. Together, they have two beloved Chihuahua dogs who are like children to them.
Adriana has worked for Paradise Valley Community College since 2016. Adriana fell in love with her job in Maintenance when she began to serve the educational community. In Colombia, Adriana was a teacher so even though her role has changed, she is pleased to be part of the educational community. Now she has the privilege of belonging to this great institution. “Thank you, thank you, for letting me be part of it,” she exclaims enthusiastically!
In Colombia, Adriana was educated as a Plastic Arts Teacher (i.e., plastic arts are art forms that involve modeling or molding, such as sculpture and ceramics, or art involving the representation of solid objects with three-dimensional effects.)
