New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation

Maybe you're wondering about some of these things:

How does college differ from high school?
What if I haven’t been in school for a long time?
What will classes be like?
Do I have the skills necessary for college?
What is there to do for fun on campus?

Where do I go for help if needed?
Can I work on campus?
How do I meet people?
How will I pay for my education?
What can I do to insure that I will be successful at PVCC and beyond?
What if I don’t have a major declared?

New Student Orientation

Your New Student Advising and Orientation session is a wonderful opportunity to get questions answered and learn to navigate the college experience. It is also an opportunity to make friends and get connected to PVCC! Academic Advisors will assist you with planning for your future and choosing your classes. They will advise you concerning certificate and degree options, placement test interpretation and course descriptions. You will also enroll in your first term of classes.
