Take your shot at keeping the PVCC community safe and healthy!
To encourage students to get the COVID vaccine and contribute to a safe and healthy learning environment, in partnership with One Community Initiative presented by Equality Health Foundation and HeroZona Foundation, the Maricopa Community Colleges (MCCCD)/Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) are offering on-campus COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
Any student who receives a vaccination at one of the MCCCD vaccination clinics will receive a $50 grocery card (Safeway or Fry’s) while supplies last.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can students who have already been vaccinated elsewhere get a gift card?
Only those who are vaccinated at one of the MCCCD Vaccination Clinics - for the first vaccination - will qualify to receive a Gift Card.
Will there be an appointment sign-up through One Community Initiative or do we need to set it up?
Appointments will not be available for the Vaccination Clinics. Students will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration for the vaccination will occur onsite with the clinic provider.
Who will distribute the gift cards?
After you complete your vaccination, you will be directed to the PVCC Welcome Center. The staff will verify enrollment at PVCC and provide the grocery gift cards to qualifying students, while supplies last.
Is there a website that talks about specifics on the vaccine or something we can refer students to with questions that are more medically referenced?
Students are encouraged to research which vaccine is best for them. The Maricopa Community Colleges and PVCC are providing this as a service to the community and will not provide guidance on vaccination selection. When students arrive at the clinic, they will be given information, plus there will also be opportunities to ask any questions related to the vaccine before they get their shot by licensed medical staff. All documentation is provided in either English or Spanish depending on the person’s preferred first language.
Can students get a gift card for both the first and second vaccines?
Students will only receive a gift card during their first vaccine.
Can a student get their first vaccine at one of the follow-up clinics later in the semester?
Yes, students can get their first vaccine at one of the later follow-up vaccine clinics and will be provided a gift card while supplies last.
