The Computer Commons is available for PVC students to complete coursework. Computers may not be used for commercial gain or private profit.
There are a couple of locations at PVCC where computers are available for community members who are not students: Cyber-cafe in KSC building, the Cyber-walk and the Library in E building. Computers in lab classrooms, Computer Commons Open Lab, science labs, and Learning Support Center are only available for access by students. The Computer Commons is available to support PVCC students in their PVCC coursework and school-related activities.
The Computer Commons is a service used to support PVCC students in their PVCC coursework and school-related activities. We work hard to be sure we are familiar with most of the PVCC computer lab courses, texts, and instructors. Our software and data files are coordinated to support PVCC's instruction. In addition, each campus decides how to support computers and access for their students. We cannot adequately supply computers and support for anyone or any activity other than PVCC coursework or school-related activities.
No, the computers are provided to support PVCC students' coursework and school-related activities. Any activity that is personal or unrelated to PVCC coursework or PVCC school activities is inappropriate use of the Commons computers.
Inappropriate use can result in the loss of all privileges to use the Open Lab.
