How PVCC’s FOIs Benefit You

How PVCC’s FOIs Benefit You

College can be overwhelming; knowing where to start or what to do can be tough. The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) has made it simpler for students to pursue their interests by creating nine Fields of Interests (FOI) in which to pursue a degree. When you begin your journey at Paradise Valley Community College, or any one of its 10 sister colleges, you will meet with an advisor to go over your goals and interests and build an academic plan. FOIs create structure for incoming students to start their academic journey. It helps narrow one’s path, as well as save students time and money. Best of all, students find their community, discovering people with like minded goals and interests.

If you have already completed the Puma Power Up steps and enrolled in your first semester of classes, schedule an advisement appointment with your FOI advisor today. If you are a brand new college student, start here.
