What’s New At PVCC?

What’s New At PVCC?

At Paradise Valley Community College our goal is to constantly improve or add new programs, processes and services to better serve our current and future Pumas. We’re excited to announce these latest additions to our offerings.

  • Integrated Public Health
PVCC is offering a new degree, Integrated Public Health. Public Health promotes and protects the health of people and the communities where they live, learn, work and play. Our goal at PVCC is to prepare our entry-level public health professionals to join the workforce directly with a two-year AAS degree or transfer to a university to complete a 4-year degree in public health.
  • New High-Tech Digital Arts Lab Opens
Our IT Department helped us open a new high-tech digital arts classroom. Students in graphic design, computer animation, gaming and photography will be learning cutting edge skills with the most current technology. The classroom and labs are equipped with high resolution monitors, two 86” interactive touch screen TVs, professional grade photographic printers, MakerBot 3D printers, and a green screen.
  • PVCC Music Department Launches Student-Run Record Label
PVCC's Music Industry Studies (MIS) Program is launching UNION32 Entertainment, a student-run music record label/entertainment company that will plan, organize and present one large-scale event per semester. UNION32 operates as a small independent record label with several departments. The Music Industry Studies program seeks students from all programs, disciplines and majors at PVCC to participate in this exciting new venture. Learn more!
  • Visit the New Zen Garden at the PVCC Buxton Library
Need a quiet space to relax, unwind and reflect? Come visit the new Zen Garden, aptly named “The Getaway” inside the Buxton Library. The tranquil area offers an array of books ranging from inspirational to health, photography and travel. Alumni may also utilize the library to check out books (including best sellers) and movies, use the computers, or pick up a Culture Pass. Be sure to take advantage of this great resource!
  • New Alumni Memberships Cards & Pins
If you attended or graduated from PVCC, then you are considered one of PVCC's valued alumni. We welcome you to officially join the Paradise Valley Community College Alumni Association.
