Dr. Jaime Martin
Interim Dean of Academic Affairs, Liberal Arts and Sciences
Dr. Jamie Martin has over 17 years of experience in education including 10 years in higher education. Jamie has served as a Residential Faculty member in the English department for the past 7 years as well as serving as the Director of Developmental Education for the past 3 years where she was responsible for providing holistic support of the entire institution. She has led the Student Success Specialists program, Summer Bridge Programs, the Redesign Implementation Team (RIT), Learning Communities, and the Student Retention and Success Committee, as well as extensively collaborated across Academic Affairs and Student Affairs divisions. Additionally, Jamie has served as one of the Guided Pathways tri-chairs at Phoenix College for the past 3 years as well as the co-chair of the district Integrated Student Support (ISS) team and Phoenix College’s representative on the English Instructional Council. She earned her Doctorate of Education from Grand Canyon University in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Higher Education. Jamie also holds a Master's degree in School Counseling and a Master's degree in Secondary Education.
Jamie is also an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, running, strength training, traveling, and hanging out with her dog Emmie at the beach.
