Join us for a Global Awareness Event, Gender-Based Violence, an Armenian Perspective, on September 22nd at 10:30 am in KSC1000A. This event is a delegation from Armenia on a Library of Congress program during the week of professional development around Combating Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. 

Meet and learn about Gender-Based Violence with a Visiting Delegation. We will have an Armenian Panel presentation followed by local community resources, Advocacy and Policy insight provided by the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence. The panelists include those who work as an investigative journalist, prosecutor, investigator, victim advocate, LGBTQIA rights advocate, and social worker.

Meet The Panelists:

  • Ms. Anna Melikyan: Case Management Specialist at Pink Armenia NGO 
  • Ms. Araks Mamulyan: Journalist at Investigative Journalists NGO
  • Ms. Shushanik Israyelyan: Deputy Head of the Department for Combating Crimes against Human at the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia
  • Ms. Sofi Bostanchyan: The Senior Specialist of the Department of Family, Women and Children Issues of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia
  • Mr. Eduard Tumaghayan: The Senior Investigator of SIC, Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia
