EVENT CANCELED - Community Cultural Wealth Model

Community Cultural Wealth Model

Due to the risk factors associated with the COVID -19 virus, This event has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Presented by: Andrea Macias, PVCC Counseling Division

Community Cultural Wealth is a model that includes six types of cultural capital intended to transform the academic experiences of diverse learners to a liberatory college-going culture (Yosso, 2005).

  • This model considers the talents, strengths, and experiences that students bring to the college environment that can encourage a positive, successful experience. Participants will examine the role that cultural influences have in student learning.  The presentation will allow for conversations that can promote cultural introspection.
