Not all business ideas can become startups. There are plenty of factors that aspiring entrepreneurs need to define and develop in order to increase their chances of success. From identifying the right problem to solve, to understanding customers’ pains and foreseen industry trends, entrepreneurs must be prepared to embrace a challenging learning experience. This workshop will help you build the right mindset to kick start your entrepreneurial journey and endure the ups and downs with persistence and determination. Eva F. Vázquez Ortiz is the director of the Global Family Business & Entrepreneurship Center for Thunderbird School of Global Management (a unit of Arizona State University Knowledge Enterprise), where she teaches global entrepreneurship at the undergraduate level. She has vast practice designing and managing entrepreneurial development programs for private and non-profit organizations. She is recognized for designing the first business accelerator in Puerto Rico and managing other initiatives that today are considered founding pillars of the Puerto Rico entrepreneurial ecosystem. Ms. Vázquez Ortiz is a Price-Babson Fellow in Entrepreneurship Education and has also participated as a judge in Startup Chile, Startup Peru, and WeMENA startups accelerators. She is a Doctorate Candidate from IE Business School (Madrid, Spain), expecting to graduate in 2020. She has a Master’s in Research Methodology in Management Science from IE Business School and a Master’s in International Business from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, obtaining a bachelor’s degree of Communications, majoring in Advertising and achieving the highest GPA of her class.
