United Way Campaign

Greetings All,

The MCCCD United Way campaign was officially launched by the Chancellor, Dr. Maria Harper-Marinick, on September 28, 2017 with a goal of 100% participation from Maricopa Community Colleges. Our PVCC Campaign Team has begun our local efforts to reach our 100% participation goal.

For our 30th Anniversary, we are launching just one 30-day campaign for both causes. PVCC’s 2017 Employee Giving Campaign will raise funds for both PVCC student scholarships and Valley of the Sun United Way. This way you can give to a specific scholarship fund and the United Way at the same time.

I have seen first-hand how student scholarships affect lives and the difference United Way is making in Maricopa County. I agree with what our Chancellor so eloquently stated in her kick-off message:

“The work you do day-in and day-out provides a path out of poverty – education is the very foundation for helping individuals fulfill their personal and professional goals. With a solid education, individuals are empowered to successfully enter the workforce, building a better future for themselves and their children as they positively impact society.”

  • While you can give your tax deductible donation to many different scholarships and United Way charities, based on student and donor feedback our Campaign Team is highlighting these specific efforts:
  • PVCC Merit Scholarship
  • MEN and Women Rising Scholarship
  • PVCC Veteran’s Fund
  • Dr. Mary Lou Mosley Employee Excellence Award Fund
  • Hurricane Relief Efforts
  • PVCC ACE

Let’s continue to work together to help our community and provide the catalyst for positive social change. For further information please contact Ellen Hedlund at 602-787-6684 or ellen.hedlund@paradisevalley.edu
