Community Relations and Giving

The Development, Alumni and Community Relations Office fosters relationships between PVCC and its external constituents to develop support for the college.  The office manages donor relationships, gifts to the college, resource development activities, alumni programming, advocacy efforts and special events.  It serves as the college’s liaison with the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundations.

2017-18 Outcomes for PVCC Office of Development, Alumni and Community Relations

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the office including personnel, budgets, workflow, timelines, and quality control
  • Develop and implement strategic, comprehensive fundraising, alumni relations and community development plans
  • Provide oversight and management of the fund raising lifecycle (prospect, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship) and utilize RE
  • Identify key internal and external audiences for fundraising, outreach and communications initiatives
  • Solicit and secure $300,000 in donations to the college
  • Develop, implement and evaluate strategies to communicate with internal and external constituents
  • Establish and maintain collegial and responsive relationships with community members, faculty, staff and administration with an eye on development of new partnerships to benefit the college
  • Represent the college in the community
  • Develop and implement an alumni program
  • Solicit and steward 300 new alumni
  • Plan and implement alumni events
  • Create and distribute 4 alumni newsletters
  • Create, plan, and implement a year of 30th anniversary events
