Community Science Fair 2019

It’s almost time for the STEAMtastic Challenge. This event is a community partnership of Paradise Valley Community College and Kiwanis of Carefree to sustain efforts for promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math careers and acknowledgement of excellence in academics. The STEAMtastic Challenge will take place on Friday, March 1st at Paradise Valley Community College at Black Mountain. Winning projects from each individual school science fair in grades K – 12 are invited to participate. Grades K – 5 are asked to submit a class project while Grades 6 – 12 may submit individual/team projects.
Projects will be in poster format. They are due into the PVCC at Black Mountain office on Thursday, February 28th between 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Judging college faculty and students will take place on Friday, March 1st between 10:00am – 2:00 pm. Judging is closed to the public. The announcement of winners will take place on Monday, March 4th via email. Project awards for all grades will be presented at STEAMtastic on Thursday, March 7th between 6:00 – 6:30 pm. The overall high school winning project individual/team will also present their project during this time. This event is open to the public.
