Puma Baseball alum Josh Rojas (2013-2015), who was most recently with the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, was called up to the big league club today. He will start in left field tonight for the Diamondbacks wearing No. 9 in his Major League debut. The team is currently in Colorado facing the Rockies.

The Pumas posted a cumulative GPA of 3.020 at the end of the Spring 2019 semester, with four teams having a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (Baseball, Men’s Golf, Women’s Soccer and Women’s Tennis). Men’s Golf had the highest GPA of PVCC's 14 athletci programs with a 3.382 GPA.
The NJCAA announced student-athletes who have earned distinction on one of three 2018-2019 NJCAA All-Academic Teams following their success in the classroom. A record number 37 Pumas garnered 2018-2019 Academic Student-Athlete Awards.

The NJCAA officially released the names of the 2018-2019 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year Award winners.
Nine PVCC teams were honored as 2018-2019 honorable mention All-Academic Teams. All-Academic Team Awards are awarded to teams that post a 3.00 GPA or higher.
