Puma Baseball (8-3) opened up conference play at home on Friday, February 10 against Phoenix College and beat the Bears 4-1.

Starting pitcher, Austin Thomason earned the win for the Pumas, tossing nine innings, surrendering one run, six hits, striking out eight, and walking zero.  Sophomore Turner Lace went 3-3 with three singles and a sacrifice bunt. Sophomores Logan Ehnes, Alex Sorenson, and George Jennings each collected an RBI to lead the Pumas to the win. 

On Saturday, February 11, the Pumas traveled to Phoenix College to play the Bears on their home turf. Both teams put up multiple runs, but Puma Baseball fell to Phoenix College 10-7 on Saturday.

With two outs in the second inning the Bears drove in one run and captured the lead. Puma Baseball scored three runs in the third inning. The Pumas scored on a home run by George Jennings, a double by Matt Malkin and a single by Tristan Thomas. Puma Baseball scored one run when Jennings homered with no outs in the third inning to tie it up. Phoenix took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning, despite a home run by Matt malkin in the seventh.Ramsey took the loss for th Pumas. He went three innings, surrendering five runs, eight hits, striking out three, and walking zero.  Puma Baseball collected 14 hits. Dylan Cole, Jennings, Harry Gard, and Malkin each collected multiple hits for Pumas Baseball. Malkin, Gard, and Jennings all had three hits to lead Pumas Baseball. Pumas Baseball didn't commit a single error in the field. Alex Sorenson had the most chances in the field with ten.
