PUMAS RACK UP POST-SEASON AWARDS

Four Pumas have garnered post season All-Region and All-Conference honors this year. Sophomores Blake Flint, Josh Bristyan, and Gage Johnson were all named First Team All-Region for their performances this season. Freshman Jake Halland was honored with a Second Team All-Region nomination. Blake Flint and Josh Bristyan were also named first team All-Conference for their efforts, while Gage Johnson was named Second Team All-Conference.

In addition to being named First Team All-Region and All-Conference, Blake Flint was named the ACCAC Pitcher of the Year. Flint led the Conference in wins (11), innings pitched (92.1), and ERA (0.88).

Flint, Bristyan, and Halland were also nominated for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award by the ACCAC. They join six other DII nominees on the ACCAC list. This award is given annually by Rawlings in conjunction with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Winners will be announced in June.

The Pumas begin post-season play with the first round of playoffs set to start tomorrow, May 3 at 3:00pm at Glendale Community College as they take on the Gauchos.
