PUMAS 2018 SEASON OFF TO GREAT START

The Paradise Valley Community College Women’s Soccer team (7-2-1) is halfway through their 2018 season and currently ranked #20 in the NJCAA National Poll. The Pumas currently sit in third place in the ACCAC behind first place Arizona Western (10-0) and second place Phoenix College (8-1-1), the only two teams that have beat the Pumas. Both loses came in close 2-1 games. The Pumas are in the midst of a three game win streak after defeating Cochise (4-3), Mesa (5-0), and South Mountain (10-1).

The Pumas have scored 37 goals this season, behind only Phoenix College (41) and Arizona Western (39). Sophomore forward Katie Townsend leads the Pumas with 11 goals, ranking her third in the Conference.

The Pumas will begin the second half of season play on Saturday, September 22 when they take on Glendale Community College at 12:30pm. The game will be held at Glendale CC.
