The NJCAA officially released the names of the 2015-2016 NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Award winners as well as the NJCAA All-Academic Team Award winners.

The PVCC Men's Tennis team was named an NJCAA Academic Team of the Year for their sport. They posted the highest GPA, 3.61, in the nation for all NJCAA men's tennis teams.

Four other PVCC teams were honored as 2015-2016 honorable mention All-Academic Teams. All-Academic Team Awards are awarded to teams that post a 3.00 GPA or higher.
Men's Tennis - 3.61
Women's Tennis - 3.26
Softball - 3.14
Women's Soccer - 3.11
Men's Golf - 3.02

The Pumas also had 25 individuals garner 2015-2016 Academic Student-Athlete Awards. Academic Student-Athlete Awards are awarded as follows:
NJCAA Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence (4.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale)
NJCAA Award for Superior Academic Achievement (3.80 to 3.99 on a 4.00 scale)
NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement (3.60 to 3.79 on a 4.00 scale)
