FLINT, BRISTYAN NAMED NJCAA FIRST TEAM ALL-AMERICAN

Puma sophomores Blake Flint and Josh Bristyan were named 2018 NJCAA Division II Baseball First Team All-Americans. Flint and Bristyan are the first Pumas to be named NJCAA All-Americans in the 10-year history of PVCC Baseball.

Flint, a 2016 graduate of Pinnacle High School, was named the 2018 ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Year as well as earning First Team All-Region and All-Conference. He secured 12 wins for the Pumas (2nd in the NJCAA) and had a 1.59 ERA (4th in the NJCAA).

Bristyan, a 2016 graduate of Horizon High School, was also named First Team All-Region and All-Conference for his outstanding sophomore season. Bristyan led the Pumas with a .387 AVG, securing 84 hits in 217 at bats.  In addition, Josh was also awarded the NJCAA DII Baseball ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award in 2016-2017, as one of the top defensive shortstops in the NJCAA.

Both Flint and Bristyan have also been nominated for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award by the ACCAC for their defensive play this season. This years awards will be announced later this month.
