PUMAS GARNER NJCAA WOMEN’S SOCCER PRESEASON RANKING #10 IN COUNTRY

The 2016 NJCAA Division I women’s soccer preseason rankings were announced this week by the NJCAA DI Women’s Soccer Poll Committee.  The PVCC Women’s Soccer team has garnered a 10th place national ranking. 

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America also released their preseason rankings this week for women’s soccer.  The NSCAA has PVCC ranked 14th in the country.

NJCAA HONORS STUDENT-ATHLETES AND TEAMS WITH ACADEMIC AWARDS

The NJCAA officially released the names of the 2015-2016 NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Award winners as well as the NJCAA All-Academic Team Award winners.

The PVCC Men's Tennis team was named an NJCAA Academic Team of the Year for their sport. They posted the highest GPA, 3.61, in the nation for all NJCAA men's tennis teams.

ATTENTION GOLFERS

The Paradise Valley Community College Men's Golf team is looking for experienced golfers to join the team for the 2016-2017 season. Coach Randy Wittig is looking for golfers that can consistently shoot 76 or lower for 18 holes and that have an above average grade point average.

PUMA TRACK ADDS ARCE TO COACHING STAFF

Puma Track and Field is excited to announce the addition of Assistant Coach Fernando Arce to the coaching staff for the 2016-2017 season. Coach Arce will be responsible for developing the sprints, hurdles, and relays programs.

SILCOX HEADED TO NJCAA MEN'S SOCCER HALL OF FAME

The NJCAA announced today that former PVCC Athletics Director Greg Silcox will be inducted in the NJCAA Men’s Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Greg was the AD at PVCC for 13 years (2002-2015) prior to his retirement in January 2016.
