Meet our Orientation Leaders/Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors represent Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) in all community and college outreach activities. Orientation Leaders serve as guides for new students, who are making the transition from their previous environment to the diverse academic, intellectual and social culture of Paradise Valley Community College. Favorite Food:  I’m a foodie; it’s my #1 comfort
During his free time, Chris likes to hang out with friends, meet new people, play games, watch movies, and to sit back and relax.  If Chris could go to a foreign country, he would go to Argentina because that is where the southernmost city in the world is located and it is known as the “End of the World.” If stranded on a deserted island, the three items Chris would take include: People, a good book . . . shelf and a rescue boat!

Advice for new students: Get to know your fellow students and some faculty! If things start to fall apart during your college experience, these are the people who will support you, keep you going, and help you remain successful! They are integral for your success!

Major: Nursing

High School: Sandra Day O’Connor

Favorite Food: Burritos
Nicole works in the Recruitment office on campus. During her free time she likes to spend time with her friends and family. Nichole would like to travel to Italy so she could see the differences in culture between Italy and Mexico. If stranded on a deserted island, Nichole would want her family and dog, drinking water and music.
Favorite Movie: The Fast and Furious movies
Favorite Sport: Soccer and Volleyball

During her free time, Lellee likes to dance, work out, swim, sing laugh, eat, ride her bike, play with Skip-It, attend concerts and eat! Lellee would like to visit Italy and Ireland because she loves her heritage. If stranded on a deserted island, Lellee would want to have: music, her kitty Fred, and a private plane complete with a cute pilot.

Dionna CollyDionna Colly

Major: Film/Education
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
High School: Guru Nanak 5th Centenary School ((India)
Dionna works at Paradise Valley Community College at the Information Desk. During her free time, she likes to watch movies and take her “pup” for a walk. Dionna would like to visit India to see the school she attended. If stranded on a deserted island, Dionna would take a book, a flashlight, and food with her.

Sam ChiaSam Chia

Major: Health Sciences
Hometown: Phoenix, AZ
High School: North Canyon
Favorite Movie: It’s a Wonderful Life
Favorite Sport: Watching University of Arizona Basketball team and World Cup Soccer.
Favorite Music: All kinds
Favorite Candy: M & M’s
Sam would like to visit Spain and tour the art and culture museums in Madrid, watch a soccer game in Barcelona, and relax on the beaches of Costa del Sol. If stranded on a deserted island, Sam would like to have a GPS satellite phone, waterproof matches and a machete or some sort of cutting/chopping tool.

Advice for new students: Don’t be afraid to ask questions in class or ask your professor for help; that’s what they are there for. Find a quiet place like the library to study and do homework and don’t procrastinate.


Zaida Ballon GarciaKaitlin Cobb (KC)
Major: Dance
Hometown: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
High School: Academy of the Arts, Science and Technology, South Carolina
KC works at Wet Seal and in the dance department of PVCC. In her free time, Kaitlin likes to dance, take and edit photos, and to socialize because she loves her friends. Three items that KC would bring to a deserted island include: a water purifier, a floating device and Chris Porro who would provide comic relief. KC would like to go to the Netherlands because it is part of her heritage.
Co-Curricular Activities: Orientation Leader, Honors, Phi Theta Kappa, Student Christian Association, and is hoping to be on the Student Leadership Council later this year.

Advice for Students: College is such a life changing experience so be excited about it and be confident. You can do anything you put your mind to and your education experience is whatever you choose to make it.

Major: Social Work and Psychology

Employment: Cook and server at Emeritus of Phoenix an assisted living home.
Co-Curricular Activities: Orientation Leader, Peer Mentor, working with mentally challenged children and the elderly.

In her spare time, Neda likes to hang out with friends, clean and organize her room, shop and sleep. Neda would like to visit Poland because her best friend lives there. If stranded on a deserted island, Neda would like to have lots of Perrier mineral water, a first aid kit and her phone.

Advice for Students: College gives you freedom to do what you want and what you want to be. Take advantage of everything it has to offer to be a successful student.

During her free time, Nicole likes to watch movies, hang out with friends, draw, and read. Nicole would love to visit Italy and France because she loves its history, language and culture. If left on a deserted island, Nicole would like to have her mother, a sketchbook and pencil and a survival kit with her.
