Carmela Kelly is the news editor of the PVCC Puma Press in Phoenix, Arizona. She is pursuing a certificate in journalism and wants to become an investigative reporter. She is the author of “Fair News Spears,” a blog in which she considers media and seeks the truth regarding Britney Spears and the characters in her public life. It has not been uncommon for Kelly to challenge media reports written by others and to hold others in positions of power accountable.

Prior to her second career in journalism, Kelly was a technical recruiter and staffing manager in high tech fields for 10 years.  Kelly has a B.A. in International Public Relations from the University of Washington in Seattle with intermittent post-graduate creative writing studies at Arizona State University. It was two creative nonfiction courses in particular that led her to pursue journalism at PVCC. Kelly is in her third semester and hopes to complete the certificate in Fall 1020.
