Most important piece of advice for new student:  Ask for help, from whoever you see first. Don’t make college complicated, know your capability first and look for opportunities to have a good time, doing things you like.

  • Make at least one friend in each class, you don’t know when you will need them, and when they will need you.
  • Check in with an advisor at least each semester, with prepared questions that you want answers to.
  • Have questions all the time, you never know when you will hear the right answer.
  • Make connection with people, staff, students, professors, the world is super small you never know where you can fit in the future.
  • Have a backup plan, when it comes to your life schedule: professors preferences, class times, location, job opportunities, and even internships.
  • This is your chance to explore, try to put yourself anywhere and see how it feels.

Make college experience full, an experience of a collection of adventures. You must create the best of yourself, and PVCC has the culture to help you.
