STRESS MANAGEMENT THROUGH YOGA                  Wed.   Jan 18                       2:30 – 3:30pm      F133
Karen Fehr.  M.S., NASM CPT, FMS Certified, Yoga RYT.   The yoga techniques are physical yoga, postures, breathing and meditation.  In addition, Karen will discuss stress management, relaxation, meditation and a healthy lifestyle. Beginners and experienced students are welcome.  Join Karen to

B.S., DTR.  The foods we choose on a daily basis have a significant impact on our long-term health and well-being.  Can foods we eat really keep us healthy?  What are the right foods?  Which foods can lower (or raise) the risk of some of today’s biggest health problems?  Beth will explore the latest nutritional advice and give you the facts, so YOU can decide.

Sherri Veach, M.S., NASM CPT, AEA.  Thirty-eight 38% of women die within one year after having an initial heart attack. Sherri will discuss cardiovascular disease in women and seek out what we need to know to fight against this growing disease.  Also included are topics such as the heart functions, risk factors, symptoms, varying diagnoses and additional critical cardiovascular information.

Jacky Burke.  M.S.,  NASM CPT, CSCS CPT, ATC.  Did you know 800,000 men and 4.5 million women in the US over 50 suffer from osteoporosis?  Another 11.8 million men and 22.7 million women have been diagnosed with osteopenia!   Learn effective, safe, and easy ways to increase your bone density and help avoid these diseases.  Specific exercises will be discussed as well as nutritional recommendations to develop strong bones!

BOSU, DYNA DISCS AND STABILITY BALLS                  Fri.  Mar 30th                   4:00 – 5:00 pm                  F109
Ray Saigh.  B.S., ACE CPT, ISSA CPT.  If you find these exercise pieces of equipment intimidating, come to Ray’s breakout!  He will ease your anxiety and show you how to use a variety of fun exercises to develop your core and body balance.  The activity range is from easy to challenging.  Please dress for physical activity.

AB WORKOUTS:  TRUTHS AND MYTHS                  Fri. April 20th                    3:30 – 4:30 pm                  F130
Fred Vergnetti. B.S., NASM CPT, ACE CPT, FMS Certified.   Join Fred as he shows you how to get the most out of your abdominal workouts.  He will cover common myths of training and set you on a straight course to developing abdominal muscle tone and definition.  Please dress for physical activity.

FUNCTIONAL MOVE MENT SCREENING                  Mon.  April 30th                    12:00 – 1:00 pm                  F130
Mark Francis.  B.A. NASM CPT, CSCS CPT, FMS Certified.  Mark takes you through a series of functional fitness assessments that do more than just test the basic components of fitness.   The FMS screen will help determine potential weak links in the body based on mobility, stability and asymmetry.  Let our expert Mark Francis show you how to identify and correct these imbalances.  Please dress for physical activity.
